[haw-info] More War? National Call-in Day Tuesday Sept 16
National Day of Action on ISIS: Call Congress today!
President Obama may prefer to call it "counter-terrorism, but his recent speech made it clear that he is taking the United States into another war. In the past six weeks, the US has deployed more than 1500 troops and launched more than 150 air-strikes in Iraq. And this is merely the beginning. As early as today (Tuesday, September 16) Congress is going to vote on a controversial plan to arm and train Syrian rebels.
More than 20 national organizations (including Historians Against the War, Friends Committee on National Legislation. United for Peace and Justice, US Labor Against War, MoveOn, Peace Action American Friends Service Committee and others ) have designatedTuesday September 16 as a coordinated National Call-In Day.
Call Your Representative and Senators today!!

* You are opposed to providing arms to Syrian rebels.
* You are opposed to US military intervention in Iraq and Syria
* You favor diplomacy and humanitarian aid as the only realistic approach to the threat of ISIS.
Ask for an explanation of where your member of Congress stands on the President's plan "to destroy ISIS" through military means.
And please let us know what kind of response you receive.
