Subject Line: Time Sensitive: House to Vote on $600 billion for Pentagon

Please Forward Widely:

The House of Representatives is set to vote on the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Most progressive amendments have been ruled out of order or voted down.

The bill authorizes authorizes $521 for national defense and $79.9 billion as a placeholder for Overseas Contingency Operations( mostly for Afghanistan, once there is an agreement with the Afghanistan government)

The 2015 NDAA is a policy bill, which specifies how the money will be used. There are billions allocated for unnecessary weapons systems, for modernization of the nuclear arsenal, for missile defense in Poland and for other dubious projects. There are fresh limitations on cooperation with Russia, and new conditions for a nuclear agreement with Iran.

It is important that members of Congress, hear from their constituents There are still many undecided and staff is counting phone calls. We encourage you to pick up the phone now and call your member of Congress and ask that they VOTE NO on the 2015 National Defense Authorization

US Capitol Switchboard (202) 224-3121
