[haw-info] Asking for two kinds of help

To members and friends of Historians Against the War,

We've now posted the schedule for the April 5-7 "New Faces of War" conference in Baltimore, on the conference website (http://www.historiansagainstwar.org/conf2013). The conference starts Friday evening, April 5 with keynote speeches by Prof. Alfred McCoy and Col. Ann Wright and goes through Sunday morning. In addition to plenary sessions, the program includes twenty breakout panels and workshops. Please check out the program – you are likely to recognize a number of the names. Whether or not you're able to come yourself, we'd be grateful if you could forward the link to anyone who you think might be interested.

The conference is being operated on a shoestring, and hence, this message is in part a follow-up to the appeal for donations that we sent to the HAW e-mail list a week ago. Many thanks to those who have given, and we hope others will also be able to help. Checks can be mailed to Historians Against the War and mailed to the HAW treasurer, Van Gosse, at the History Dept., Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, PA 17604, or on-line donations may be made at http://www.historiansagainstwar.org/donations.html.

Sincerely,

Jim O'Brien and Marc Becker

co-chairs, Historians Against the War
